Excel Entertainment never disappoints with their incredible filmmaking and characters so subliminally creative whether it’s an iconic movie setting of three friends in Goa or a boy such as Murad from the streets that has a pathbreaking story to tell. The release of Friday Night Plan seems to be equally if not more awaited, and is surmised to be a heartwarming film.
The film also stars Juhi Chawla in a special appearance, , Aadhya Anand, Medha Rana and Ninad Kamat. The Vatsal Neelakantan directorial and co-written project, is Babil Khan’s first in a leading role, which according to him is a role that came naturally to him as he himself takes on a similar role in real life too. “It’s a heartwarming journey that brings back fond memories of our own misadventures. This is my first outing with Excel Entertainment and also marks my second collaboration with Netflix after Qala, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of this project,” the actor had said. As an industry newcomer, Khan’s performance in this role could potentially be a defining moment in his career alongside his magnetic presence and unique approach to his craft that has been winning hearts.
The nerdy main character seems out of place in a back to school scenario, who enjoys his own company and gets dragged along in mischief thanks to an afterschool Friday night party in the absence of their mother, played by Juhi Chawla Mehta. The tale has two brothers counting on each other despite opposing personalities, and follows a path of self discovery as a calm after the chaos revelation.
Juhi Chawla, on the other hand has come back to the OTT screens after delivering her fantastic role as Ishi in the Amazon Prime thriller ‘Hush Hush’. Although, we get to see a very limited screen appearance of hers in this film, it will be equally looked forward to.
The trailer that has made its online debut today, has increased our anticipation to know more about the adventure and fun that unfolds. And of course without a doubt, Netflix will set the standards high for a unique viewing experience, content that never misses and a promised good time.
The film is set to release on the 1st of September, and is eagerly awaited by all.
