One of the hottest topics to discuss is the review of the movie Kabir Singh. Shahid Kapoor did a marvellous job. And the female lead also did nail the submissive role. The film has strong opinions on the very extremes. My opinion is on elements. And as a overall review is also there. Do read this article to dissect the film for a witty judgement.
Kabir Singh is a movie in which the main character Kabir Singh is a doctor by profession. He is of the type who is daring and bold. He got no control of his action when his brain’s horses are angry. he gets violent and angry very easily.
Suddenly he falls in love with a girl who is charming in looks. But she is very submissive and quiet. She doesn’t express herself well. Neither she does express nor the external stimulus let her do.
There was a very big clash in the film market. Many people were awestruck by the acting done by Shahid Kapoor as Kabir Singh. He did portray the exact picture that film needed and audience wanted and expected to see.
The reviews were very fickle minded. They were shifting from one extreme to the other. It was either a good review or a very ugly one. So, what review do I give on this controversial topic? How does it make a difference from the ones already existing?
Kabir Singh:first let’s discuss the ugly part
Everybody wants to be bold, audacious and in attention books of all. We all want to have a back, a back of friends or goons. So, at the time of trouble, it does come handy. Kabir Singh had these all. He was something that everybody wants be. So, the wanna be fans would be following him, every minute to minute detail – and replicate the same in real life
So as a result of this he did have a good influence on watchers and viewers of the film. So, now the character was played by shahid Kapoor one of the finest actors in Bollywood. As a result, his acting had stronger influence.
In the reel not only, he was doing bad. But his bad was being justified in the film. It was left open to judge. Like the technique in which something is done partially and people conclude it based on their perception. The wrongs were like that the crimes against women, intake of drugs or the way problems were being dealt with.
He was consuming drugs at an alarming level. But in some subtle way it was being justified as his life way very unfair so it was okay to do so. Like the love of his life ended up broken with him. Because her family was very dominative and on control. He was also very dominative and hard on his girlfriend, at times she also seemed very on his command. Just like a servant.
Kabir Singh: the good part
The good part includes the acting that the lead roles did. Also, the production was very good. It was mesmerising how the set up was very relatable as of a daily day to day life. The relatability factor that Shahid Kapoor achieved was marvellous. No doubt because the film has very big and harsh fan base. You criticise the film and they take it personal.
Also, the film did portray the heinous trouble that Indian kids experience because of the arrogant and rigid behaviour that parents do showcase. The authority that they try to keep. Irrespective of how much toxic or detrimental it could be in case of that was displayed now and then in the film.
I believe the film could have been better if they would have conveyed that decision in anger are bad, very barbarous and full of remorse. But even a second of pause may cause a drastic change and give chance for a prudent decision.
