With the debut of the Realme 8s and Realme 8i, Realme has added two new smartphones to its number series. The Helio G96 processor, DRE technology, 120Hz display, and other fascinating features are included in the Realme 8i, the company’s latest smartphone.

A 180Hz touch sampling rate, 600 nits’ brightness, and a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut are included. A 6.5-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD with 2400 x 1080 pixels screen resolution comes standard on the Redmi 10 Prime. The screen can support a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. Prime

The Realme 8i is the first smartphone in India to include MediaTek’s newest Helio G96 chipset. The phone has a RAM of up to 6GB and a storage capacity of up to 12GB. Interestingly, you get Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE) technology, which allows you to virtually expand the RAM up to 11GB, just like the Realme 8s.
It runs Android 11 with the Realme UI 2.0 skin on top. The MediaTek Helio G88 processor is included in the Redmi 10 Prime. There is up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage in the phone. It’s powered by Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 on top.

• Camera

The Realme 8i has a triple-camera configuration with a 50MP primary lens, a 2MP B&W portrait lens, and a 2MP macro shooter. For selfies and video calls, there is a 16MP sensor on the front. Thanks to its quad-camera setup on the back, the Redmi 10 Prime is a notch above the others.
The phone has a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, though, you get an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls.

• Battery

The Realme 8i has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W rapid charging. The Redmi 10 Prime has a 6,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.

• Price

The 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage Realme 8i price in India starts at Rs 13,999. The model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs Rs 15,999. The Redmi 10 Prime is available in two models: 4GB RAM + 64GB and 6GB RAM + 128GB, all of which cost Rs 12,499 and Rs 14,499, respectively.

The Winner

The Redmi 10 Prime is an excellent choice for individuals seeking a low-cost smartphone with lengthy battery life. However, if you have the financial flexibility to spend an extra Rs 1,500, the Realme 8i appears to be the superior alternative. A smoother 120Hz display, a more powerful processor, and a great camera system are all included.
