Russia and China have unveiled the world’s first highway bridge connecting the two countries.

According to AFP, Russia and China have unveiled the first highway bridge between the two countries indicating the strengthening of ties between the two countries amid Moscow’s war in Ukraine.
The bridge’s construction was completed two years ago, but its opening was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Eight trucks loaded with automobile tyres and electrical equipment parts left for Russia from the Chinese side.

The bridge had been under construction since 2016 and was scheduled to open in May 2020, but it was delayed due to Cross -border COVID19 restrictions, according to BTS-MOST Russian firm building the bridge.
