Shah Rukh Khan and the late actor Irrfan Khan, during the 2016 Filmfare Awards, performed a humorous act on stage that had everyone in the audience in fits of laughter. According to Irrfan Khan, who mocked Shah Rukh Khan by recreating a scene from the movie Mohabbatein, Shah Rukh was clutching a violin during the entire movie.
In a video shared by Filmfare, a late actor told Shah Rukh that he has recreated a scene from his film Mohabbatein and said, “Maine aapki film Mohabbatein pe banayi hai, Mujhe bohot pasand ayi thi aur mujhe alga bohot paise kamaye the, par apne kuch kiya nahi tha. Sirf sweater upar dala aur violin bajaya (I have made (this act) on your movie Mohabbatein which I really liked. It earned a lot of money but you didn’t do much in the film. All you did was sport a sweater and play the violin).”
The video featured Irrfan trying to do his famous signature arm gesture and he was in the same outfit as Shah Rukh. There was a twist at the end as Irrfan blurted out, “Kattapa ne Bahubali ko kyu mara,” which left the audience laughing very hard.
Irrfan Khan died in 2020. His sudden and untimely death left everyone shocked and Shah Rukh mourned the loss and also shared a heartfelt note. He wrote, “My friend…inspiration & the greatest actor of our times. Allah blesses your soul Irrfan Bhai…will miss you as much as cherish the fact that you were part of our lives.”
He further wrote, “Paimana kahe hai koi, maikhana kahe hai. Duniya teri aankhon ko bhi, kya kya na kahe hai.” Shah Rukh ended the note with, “Love you.”
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan’s new film Pathaan will release in January 2024, followed by Jawan, with director Atlee, and Dunki, with director Rajkumar Hirani. The shoot of Pathaan is over and would be the first one to be released, on January 25, 2024. Jawan would hit cinemas on June 2 and Dunki on December 22 next year. As the shoots are at the finishing stages, Shah Rukh Khan has once found started reading scripts for his films which would be released in 2024.
